MC Melodee ft. Feliciana – Rock N iT (prod. Chuck Inglish)

I was just skimming through 2dopeboyz and ran into this new single from MC Melodee off her full length project with Cookin’ Soul. “Rok N it” features Feliciana and was produced by Chuck Inglish. The soon to be released full length project Check Out Melodee will be hosted by DJ Whoo Kid with features by Mac Miller, OhNo, Smif n Wessun, Chuuwee, and Mucho Muchacho just to name a few. I’m feeling the track, but go ahead and give it a listen to see what you think.

House Shoes ft. Nottz, Oh No & MED – Last Breath

Legendary Detroit DJ/Producer House Shoes gives us the first taste from his upcoming album Let It Go. The album will feature guest spots with Roc Marciano, Guilty Simpson, Black Milk, and Danny Brown just to name a few. This first track, “Last Breath” (featuring Nottz, Oh No, and MED) is exactly what we’ve come to know and love from this highly influential producer. I am definitely looking forward to experiencing the rest of this album which is set to be released on June 19th.

The World Famous Blunt Club 10 Year Anniversary

The World Famous Blunt Club is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this week. Hard work and dedication has helped Blunt Club to become the longest running hip hop weekly in the Phoenix metro area. It is by far the best spot in the valley to get your weekly dose of classic and underground hip hop. This week Blunt Club is a special 2 night event. Day one of the 10 year anniversary celebration kicks off Thursday at Yucca Tap Room in Tempe with weekly residents Pickster One, Dumperfoo, & Thrift Shop along with special guests DJ Cocoe, The Insects, IAME, Wildcard, Saint Warhead, Mr. Hyder, and Emerg Mcvay. Of course there will be live art by Dumperfoo & Queen Loopy. Then day 2 of the celebration finds itself at Hollywood Alley in Tempe with DJs Organic, Pickster One, Tricky T, and Mr. Hyder. There will be live sets by The Mighty Mouse Powell & Anglo Saxon, spoken word by Catalyst, and live art by Dumperfoo & Ray Rivas. Also you can expect that John Carbis and Awall (Night Fuse) will be taking photos on both nights. This truly is a momentous event for Blunt Club so make sure you roll out and join in the fun… See you there!

Mouse Powell – Holding Home (Music Video)

Last week one of my favorite Phoenix area emcees, Mouse Powell, dropped the official video for his track “Holding Home (The AZ Anthem)”. If you don’t know who Mouse Powell is, you’re about to. He’s one of the most talented and nicest guys I know in the local Phoenix scene. He works hard, has a good head on his shoulders, and knows how to network with the best of em.  He already has a huge fan base here in the valley, a fan base that is quickly making its way across the country. Mark my word… In a few years this dude will be a household name for everyone in the underground scene. This truly is a solid video. He literally takes you on a trip around the valley as he spits over a solid beat by Make Sense. The video is by Danny McManus and the kutz are by none other than the homie, Les735. You can find this track on Mouse Powell's album Where It’s Cloudy which is available for purchase here.

Psycho Realm Releases Terror Tapes 2

The long awaited Psycho Realm project was finally released today. Psycho Realm Presents Sick Jacken and Cynic: Terror Tapes 2 features the likes of Murs, Joell Ortiz, Sean Price and Self Scientific's Chace Infinite. There has already been 2 singles released from this latest project earlier this year (“Show You A Rock” & “I’m Gone”, both of which are dope as hell... So I can only imagine that the rest of the album is as solid as you’d expect from the sequel to Terror Tapes 1. You can purchase the album from iTunes here.

Media Gasface & Just Blaze – Just Did It (Mixtape)

La Crème De La Crème laced by DJ Green Giant…. 1 word, DOPE! I just got done peeping this and it’s solid as hell. My suggestion, download it now and start bumping the sh!t out of it. Just sayin… There’s not one bad thing I can say about it. So stop reading this blog post and DOWNLOAD IT ALREADY!!!!

Jon Hope – Work In Progress (Album)

After a long hiatus, Rhode Island emcee John Hope emerges with his latest studio project. A Work In Progress has 16 tracks and features production by LGC, Taktix, Blaze P, Zulu, and Xaviles. I have been a fan of John Hope since I first heard Some Kind Of Wonderful. I haven’t listened to this latest release yet, but knowing what I do I’m sure I’ll like it. Djbooth offers his latest project (for a limited time) for free download so get it while you can.
